| Well that was good, But arent most Vipers modified, It is common to see vipers with bolt ons, ie headers or cold air intake.

| Very true Ynot, At the end both are great car's and the viper wasnt bad from Zero, I thought it would just spin the wheels and have a bad start.

| Thanks for the posting. The SLK did perform better than I thought it would. That said, I wouldn't be suprised if a SLK did beat out the Viper due to the launch. It's quite easy to launch the 55. I bet the Viper isn't nearly as easy.

BTW, yes I know Car & Driver has revised their SLK350 0-60 to 5.3 seconds. All I know is, the SLK55 I drove, it was hard to keep hold of the steering wheel it was pushing me back so hard. It reminded me of a test a friend would do with his big block Cobra. He'd tape a $100 bill to the passanger visor and said if you could grab it between the time he started and stopped accelerating, you could have it. My one client traded his Viper for a much nicer riding, and much, much faster Noble M512-GTR. It's stupid-fast and light mid-engine fun. Right up until an accident and you learn it has no crashability or safety features. Oh yeah, being Ford powered, it stalled out on him and it had to be towed. | |

| There's a 2006 Viper in our local car club - from a dig I can hang...for awhile. Once up to speed he just flat out walks away. They're a bitch to launch on the street which I why we can keep it close for a couple gears.
