You need phone pre-wiring for that Bluetooth.

Congratulations on a great choice, SLK. You'll always have a regret unless you get EVERY option. Ynot has them all. Not sure I would want all, but I'm missing two that I would prefer. I can live with what we have, until next time. There are many new Bluetooth products on the market. Two in particular are Motorola, and Parrot. These are aftermarket add-ons that are easy to install and should function with ANY Bluetooth phone. Do a eBay search for these items to get an idea (Motorola HF850 & IHF1000, and Parrot CK3200). Several on the MB forums are working to upgrade their Audio 20 radios with better, multifunction aftermarket radios. This will be great if it's proven it can be done without major modifications and expense, while providing a factory look. The Pioneer AVIC-Z1 is an example. Stay tuned to this forum for a ton of neat ideas. Enjoy your new SLK.

I think the logic 7 with comand is awesome! My only draw back is, it doesnt have all the abilities to ADD on stuff, like some aftermarket ones do. Also I didnt get three things I wanted. Red Leather, Airscarf, and Nav. But im working on putting one in.

But gratz on your new car!

Congratulations HwoALanG. The two aftermarket upgrades I recommend would be the Comfort VarioRoof Module from Piecha of Germany(allows operating the roof with RF using 3 clicks from your SmartKey instead of pointing it at the laser receiver on the door handle and holding for 22 seconds ; operating the roof up to 30 mph; simplified use of the center console control lever for the roof) and the Kleyman 3BFM (3rd brakelight flashing module) v 1.5. The Kleyman module flashes the 3rd Brake Light and then go constant ( do a search for 3rd brakelight flasher).

congrats, lovely car. i also own a 280, and have been delighted it from day one. you will not be disappointed! the only option which i did not opt for was the air scarf and i regret not getting it, i was just being a tight ass and didn't see the need to py extra for it, but from what i have heard it is worth the money.

thank you everyone. in my opinion SLK memebers knows how to treat new member. not like clubrsx members..(they like to start flame...-_-;; not very sophisticate in my opinion....)

anywayz

weather was bad in MD eastern shore so couldn't take mroe pictures but i'm in loveeee ~~ with slk 280. i drove for almost 300miles i can notice what this car is capable of !!! i tried out top down with air scarf... that is amazing feature up to 60mph...

few things that bugs me thought(i'm a picky person)

paddle shifter !!!!!!!! !!!! i can't stand left right shifting... i haven't seen any car manufactor do that.... this is maddness....i going to get paddle shifter ASAP when it comes out. matter fact i'm visiting dealer later on. that will be the first mod i will go for.

and why is cup holder position is so high up??? what if we ran into bump and spill drink or coffee...-_-;;;;

also slk 280 comes with 16" wheel !!! that's same size as RSX and it's smaller than IS300(it comes with 17" wheel) !!! i meant those cars cost much less and come with great looking wheel. and it was desinged 2002 !!!! however slk 280 stock wheel looks some what doesn't fit with car looks... and i got the wheel and tire warranty for 4 years i think...
and i'm stuck with it for 4 years.... i know i could have upgrade the wheels but gosh...i can't afford all that....

plus why isn't xeon light come with standard... i meant it's benz... those things should be standard...

and A20 audio doesn't read mp3 cds...

and antena is too long and kills the aerodynamic looks...(SL antena will be second mod i will go for)

oh did i mention about seat adjustment... it almost killed me while i was adjusting... and driving... so tricky... i will never adjust the seat while i'm driving....

for the last SLK weight so much. this car need diet !!! too many electronic gadget that puts too much weight.... well i guess i drove a RSX so...( RSX is 400lb less) but it kills the feel of sports car feel in my opinion.

other than that i love SLK 280.

The wheel paddle/button is great when racing the car and in a straight line, but at really slow speeds, sharp corners, it's the side to side on the stick or Auto you'll need to use. I think the stick shifting has a lot more quility to it than the playstion buttons so don't mind it.

well i've drove a lot of cars with semi-auto and i like the way it shift on slk 280. but seriously i need paddle shifter... i'm not trying to be brat but serioulsy i can't shift left and right...while i'm turning or getting into apex and getting out coners, i need to have control. yes, i could get manual but i don't want to shift 24/7 so.... and i enjoy moutain roads... and prefer shifter is require for me......(well i haven't tried ferrari shifters yet but i heard it's like manual)

so let me know something members !! thank you

I'd totally agree with you for real driving the buttons/paddles are the only way, but around town at slow speeds if you want to use the Manual you'll need to use the stick, spinning the wheel fast while changing gear on wheel mounted shifters is impossible.

I can get you paddles installed if you like mate like i said in your other thread but it depends on what your budget is really for the full retro-fit.
