Scrapped the front bumper by mistake

Ive scrapped the front bumper by mistake while parking at the Coffe Shop today, I noticed that the there is a wide space that has been scrapped off from the bumper its on the left side , the valance that is under the left foog lamp passenger side.

Now the question is should I tell the dealership to touch it up or re-paint the whole bumper ?

Sorry to hear mate.

Guess it all depends how obvious the damage is as to how you go about the repair.

If it where me and the damage was not really in your face i would get it touched up because its bound to happen again it would cost me a fortune if i did a respray every time it made contact with the ground so i try to touch up as much as possible

Its not obvious but isnt on your face.

OUCH! OUCH! OUCH! I'm so sorry to hear that. I'm fairly certain it can be fixed by a good body shop place. Dealers tend to charge a lot. Most of them use independent auto body shops anyway. As the others have said, if it's not obvious, then go for minor touch ups.

I agree, get it touched up if it's minor. Chances are it will happen again. As time passes, you'll think of it less and you'll be able to live with it.

I recently got a few scrapes under the front end from pulling up too close to a parking bumper. I don't plan to have the scrapes touched up. I'm able to ignore these things.

i got some scrapes under there too. But I know its gunna get scratch some more until I put it away. Ill probably touch it up, every now and then, but i wont touch it until next year.

If it's not visible, leave it alone, the first scratch hurts the most, the others will not, let it get really bad, then restray it then.

mines scratched to hell. just figured i'll get the whole thing redone one day, so don't really care now. most fuel stations here in fort worth hard to get in and out of without scratching.

Mine is scratched and cracked...
But hoping once i put on the piecha addon lip it will cover it all up. And now with the front bumper camera scraping never happens

Unless there are objects flying at me on the highway again.

I should go for the touch-up if I were you. Incidentally, the touch-up kit I ordered last month has finally arrived. My dealer called today. I scratched the front skirt on the passenger side by parking a little too close to a concrete block. The scratch is so minor I can hardly see it but I should sleep a little better once it is repainted!

a touch up.. scartching your front bumper should be a sign of a true driver. means you drive hard haha.
don't worry about it, i panic everytime i get a scratch,but easy fixed, just make sure you rub it down enough when touching up.

I feel better now after reading your comment's, I showed some of my relatives the scratch and they say its normal for a Such a small car, They tell me start driving it more often , Ive been very careful with the car I hope I dont spoil it some day.

I just scraped my Piecha lip spoiler on a driveway apron getting gas the other day. The scraping sound went right up my spine. So, I'm not sure there is a solution. It's on the bottom, so I think it makes sense to just live with it until it gets real bad and then have it touched up. My luck is I would pay to fix it and it would happen again on the way home.

Sorry to hear about your mishap, Alroumi. As -1- has pointed out, if you get it touched up and don't think too much about it, in time it won't bother you at all. I know how you feel. After something like this happens, it is all you think about every time that you look at the car. Dan's advice is very wise. It may happen again, so it may be best not to go "all out" at this time. If it should happen once again, you can get the whole unit resprayed. If it doesn't (which I hope will be the case), you will have saved some money and grief.
