Default Is this a good lease deal on 2009 SLK300?

It's an Orion Blue SLK300, manual trans, with P1, Multimedia and Heating packages.

Sticker about $53,000 (If I build this exact car on mbusa.com, it's $53,465)
Total Monthly Pmts $18,834
Cap Cost Reduct $4,450
Miles per year: 7,500
Buyout $30,475
Security Deposit: $0
36 Month lease.
Montly payment $498

Except for the missing digital dual-zone A/C, this is everything I was looking for, and I'm now thinking of selling my newly acquired 2005 SLK350 Capri Blue Auto and getting this instead, but I've never leased a car before, so I can't tell if this is a good deal or not.

thanks.

Miles per year is low: aim for 12,000 miles per year
What's the APY?
Monthly payment is tad high for my taste: shoot for $400

Lighting package?
Remember, you don't own the car with a lease, so non-OEM mods may not be allowed.

I owned a SLK 280 and loved it BUT you won't coming from a 350. You'll find the engine lacking in comparison. Take a long test drive before buying.

I don't know what the APY is. No lighting package. What is the invoice price on 2009 SLK300s?

My other car is a 2002 BMW M5, so I already find the slk350 "lacking".

If he's anything like me, he will be more than just compensated for the loss by the joy of operating that awesome manual transmission.

Default Don't put anything down.

If your leasor provides gap insurance don't put any money down on your lease. Basically, if you total the car the gap insurance pays everything between what your insurance pays and the total debt on the car. Any money you put down is gone for good if you total the car.

Due to present market conditions, I've decided to hold off on this lease for now.

SLK as therapy. Yesterday after listening to the dreadful financial news on television, I went for a ride in my SLK. It made me feel much better. If we wind up in the poor house, let's arrive in style.
