Wow i just took an slk for a test drive

ive already placed my order and i didnt take it for a test drive so i decided to go today. I went alone and they let me drive a 2009 SLK 300 (same as the one I ordered). The salesman didnt come with me. I am reallllllllyyyyyyyyyyyy surprised about the attention this car gets. wow, everywhere i go there's people staring its crazy. this car is only like $60,000. All the BMW and Merc suvs that are everywhere are the same price as this. why are people so amazed and fascinated by its mere presence?

Price has nothing to do with it, SUV's are like assholes and belly buttons everybody's got one.

The SLK has a presence about it.

I've had my SLK 350 since November 2004 and people still make comments (positive) about it. I'm grateful that my wife insisted that I buy it. When you get you car you'll probably get SSS. Stupid smile syndrome. That's when you take your car out for a drive and you come back with a great big stupid grin on your face for no apparent reason. Just say "Thank you Mercedes Benz".

I've only had the pleasure of test driving one for an hour or so.
That was 3 weeks ago, and I've still got that stupid smile on my face.

Nicely put Dan! I was away on business for a little over a week, I thought I was going through withdrawls not have the SLK to drive... I'm back home and life is great again!
