Went to a drive in movie, anyway to turn COMAND screen off, but leave radio on?

We went to a drive in movie double feature and had to put a towel over the COMAND screen. I couldn't find a way to turn off the display, but keep the radio on?

We only stayed for one movie, about 1.5 hrs, and it turned off every 30 minutes or so. Would the battery drain if we keep it going for 4-5 hours?

The movie sounded great BTW. Very nice surround sound effects considering the source was a FM radio signal.

I don't think there is a way, which is strange as a lot of these systems do.

If you press your SERV button, then the Display softkey, you can dim the screen, but I don't think it goes out.

The "auto off" feature is specifically designed to not drain your battery. If you were seeing a double feature it probably would have been worth starting your car in the middle and running it for 15 minutes or so to charge your battery.
