Default Maintenance Intervals

Is there a listing anywhere of the maintenance intervals for a 2005 SLK 350 along with an approximate cost of what is done? I know I can afford the car, I'm hoping not to have to worry about covering the maintenance.

Thanks!

Service every 13,000 miles or one year. The car computer tells you when and what is needed.

You can try this for an estimate, but I think they are a bit low than actual dealer prices.

Welcome to the forum!!!!

Unfortunately, the maintenance isn't free and I mean it REALLY isn't free. My 2001 SLK 320 include maintenance and it was a disappointment that the SLK 350 didn't include it.

Be on the look out for whether the 2005 is one of the oil leak ones. I think there is a thread here that shows the VIN numbers on those. (I think it was 2005 and not 2004?)

And I'm assuming from your comments that you don't have it yet.

Thanks!

One think to take into account is that it was a $50k+ car, so the parts prices are what one would expect - expensive.

Also, be aware that most of the '05s are reaching their warranty expiration dates towards Nov/Dec of '08 - another think to look at when negotiating price. (Warranty period is 4 years from the "in service" date.) My dealer in LA quoted $1400 for one year / 100k MB warranty on mine - obviously there's some room to play if you are buying the car from a dealer.
