| Is there a listing anywhere of the maintenance intervals for a 2005 SLK 350 along with an approximate cost of what is done? I know I can afford the car, I'm hoping not to have to worry about covering the maintenance. ![]() Thanks! |

| Service every 13,000 miles or one year. The car computer tells you when and what is needed. You can try this for an estimate, but I think they are a bit low than actual dealer prices. http://www.edmunds.com/maintenance/maintenance.do |

| Welcome to the forum!!!! Unfortunately, the maintenance isn't free and I mean it REALLY isn't free. My 2001 SLK 320 include maintenance and it was a disappointment that the SLK 350 didn't include it. Be on the look out for whether the 2005 is one of the oil leak ones. I think there is a thread here that shows the VIN numbers on those. (I think it was 2005 and not 2004?) And I'm assuming from your comments that you don't have it yet. |

One think to take into account is that it was a $50k+ car, so the parts prices are what one would expect - expensive. Also, be aware that most of the '05s are reaching their warranty expiration dates towards Nov/Dec of '08 - another think to look at when negotiating price. (Warranty period is 4 years from the "in service" date.) My dealer in LA quoted $1400 for one year / 100k MB warranty on mine - obviously there's some room to play if you are buying the car from a dealer. | |
