1] I use a standard floor jack, but spent the most of a Saturday machining an "adapter" to use to avoid body damage. I later found one you could buy on eBay for a heck of a lot less than the effort I spent making one. Search the forums, there's a post here somewhere.

2] My dad had an old craftsman torque "break style" wrench. It's probably 20 years old, so can't complain at all with Craftsman tools.

3] Don't remember, but I had one in my standard metric set.

4] If you are talking about locking Lug's, I'd stick to MB - as I recall they are about $100us, so I'm sure you can pick them up online for cheaper. Hell, I'd prod the dealer to throw in a set for you given your new car. Here in Europe they seem to be pretty much standard equipment - I've got 'em on my C.

Harbor Freight makes a good, low profile race jack for $79

don't forget this... $45

so you can do it this fast...

so are you able to take care of two whels at a time?

Torque at 80ft/lbs.

I can jack up both at one time but usually don't because I think it puts more stress on the chassis and convertibles already potentially suffer from being less rigid than comparable coupes. I figure the more chassis stress over time the more squeaks. Of course, it definitely is possible with this setup.

I have a Craftsman torque wrench like that one except mine takes 1/2" instead of 3/8" sockets and does not have a rubber grip. I've had it for over 25 years and it still works great and looks almost new. I do take very good care of my tools.

Actually it's better to use a 17mm deep socket with nylon cover. Protects alu rims from damage

Yeah, I think mine is 1/2" too. A good torque wrench should last you a lifetime. Of course, Craftsman tools are guaranteed that long so if it were to break, they would exchange it for you.

For those of us in the US. I found a 3 piece set with case that costs $28 shipping included.

It's the top item in this link...

Looks nice - I think I may try and plastic-kote one of my old deep 17's and see how that works.
