Thumbs up SLK Car Cover Review

The custom fit CoverCraft Noah car cover I have been using for my previous 06 SLK 280 for 30 months was getting pretty worn with a couple of holes in it. So I bought a new one for my new 09 SLK 350. After pricing them out I found the cheapest price was for the Mercedes-Benz version from ************* by almost 20 dollars. I received it yesterday and used it on the car last night. This is also a Noah material cover (probably made in the same factory as my original cover) but seems to be a slightly better fit for the car. Of course that may be that the older cover has gotten looser over time. A neat feature of the new cover is that it is reinforced where it covers the antenna stub. The older cover was on the verge of wearing a hole in that location. The new cover also came with a free cover bag which was an extra cost item for the original cover. The new one also has the Mercedes Star on the front and Mercedes-Benz stenciled on the rear. To be honest I would have preferred nothing stenciled on the cover but that was not an option. Overall I'm very pleased with the cover and the price I got it for, $150 with $12 for shipping and handling.
The 3rd pic is of the reinforcement for the antenna stub.

Update: the Mercedes star and the Mercedes-Benz logo are sewn on, not stenciled on the cover.

Nice cover. I used a generic car cover from Wal*Mart when I park at work. I don't like using a car cover, but like to keep my car out of the direct sun light when parked all day.

Thank you for sharing, I've got the other one which has a metallic silver sheen and only the mb star upfront.

One thing I really like about custom covers is the outside mirror pockets which makes putting the cover on the car on windy days much easier for one person to do it without the cover blowing away.

Holas..

yes, ive been thinking about a cover as i am forced to park my daily driver new 09 SLK350 in direct sun at work. And I'm in Florida. So its rather hot. The dealer threw in window tint as part of my haggling, but still, it get hot.

I had one of these for the previous car, a 06 MX5 ( Mazda Miata ) Worked wonderfully, and VERY easy to use.

Havent checked to see if they handle SLK sizes, but they are made of Tyvek iirc
