It's their responsibility to remedy the SmartTop Modules they've sold to the current 2009 SLK owners. This community has supported their product.
Being a software developer myself, I understand their approach. It will tell them exactly what the module is 'seeing' and they can fix it on the spot rather than using a trial & error method that could take many tries to get right. As for supporting 09 buyers, I think most of us (if not all) actually bought the modules for use with earlier model SLKs and then reinstalled them on our new cars. So that Mods4Cars is offering to fix problems for us is pretty in cool in my book.

in my case, i sold my previous piecha module with my 05 and asked mods4cars (sven) if the 09 slk will work with current version (3.1) and he of course said yes. so i bought it. this is not the case as we have found out.

In that case they do owe you a new or upgraded module or a refund. I thought you had the module from a previous car and not a brand new one. I stand corrected.

Do you know which is the latest version of the SmartTop since on the web site there is the 3.1 and you report the 3.22?

I would like to buy one module but I'd like to get the latest version.
Also, I can't find a web site to sale this in germany.
I guess the SmartTop is built in Berlin. Anyone know where to buy in Germani or in Europe rather then in Italy?
Thank You.

i assume since 3.22 fixed th my09 issue, it is the latest version. mods4cars makes it so they would sell you whatever the latest version is. go to the web site and contact them. they are from sweden i believe.
