Default tyre pressure monitor.

How does it work? I have seen my tyre is quite low in pressure but the tyre pressure monitor does nothing to warn me? Any suggestion?

Also stupid me! Left a road map above the boot cover in my slk and forgot about it and when I opened the top !!!! broke a triangular flap that covers a gap when the roof is open. Wonder how many item must be replaced and the COST? stupid me

Do you have it enabled on your car (is the menu option present)?

It monitors the rotation speed of each wheel and if one changes significantly it will warn you, if you have both tires on the same axle low on pressure it will not warn you.

Probably just the flap and the attachments.

When the TPM system is activated and an error is detected the warning message you get is "Low pressure mode Check tires max. Speed 50 mph"

I just installed new tires and had to recalibrate the system to the new tires.
