I bought my 3yr old SLK 200 with 11000 miles on the clock last july. Since then it has had

1 service
1 MOT
1 for roof not going up, so door control module replaced under warranty
1 for some noise on hard steering at crawling, so oil topped up but noise still there.
Now the roof is acting up again - similar to the last time one window doesnt roll down on trying to put roof up. Sometimes rectified by opening and closing the passenger door or re starting the engine. Few other internal squueks and some mild noise from the right front suspension. The Car has done 9000miles in the last year , a total of 20000. So going to the dealer on thursday.

More i think of it , this car is like a toddler. You have to bathe it, feed it, dress it. When it is in a good mood, you can take it to the park and kick a ball around. When it is bad, it gets earache, teething, cough and cold from the nursery and then piss and poo everywhere. What makes all this trouble worth while is the smile and giggles when the going is good.

I have had sooo many cars, 58 in all in 9 years, what I learned each has it share of issues, my last a crossfire, before that a C230 SS, most of my benzs faired much better then others my crossfire, had 44K on here developed a engine tick(not the normal benz loudness) they replaced my whole engine...but 45 days without my car....so little things go wrong, but have a great euro place here and still 1.5 years of warranty
