Default Hood Aerowings

Hi -

Been thinking about aerowings. A coworker recommended these:
http://www.formymercedes.com/mb_resu...wings+for+Hood

I supposed they are less expensive than MB parts? Has anyone gotten them? My biggest concerns are:
1) That they do have rubber feet so that they don't scratch my paint
2) That they do look similar to the MB ones. From what I can see in the tiny picture, they don't look as good -- somehow more rounded than MB ones.

Any input appreciated. Thanks!

I thought of doing the same and then went for the real thing...paid through the nose but am happy I did. Can't comment on those specific...but some I have seen seem to be disproportionate.

I have them on my car...They clip into the vents in 5min....
1)The part that touches the car has got a pice of sticky foam that acts like a pice of rubber to avoid any damage to the paint work.....
2) I think only a SLK Enthusiast will notice the difference...your average joe cant tell the difference between real/fake fins...a good mod,cos you can take them off (by unclipping them from under the bonnet) in 3min......

For me...Id rather get my car ,lowerd/bodykit/command/tuned by brabus/quad exhausts...... thats when I will bother with "real amg fins"

SLKpower, are those door mirrors a retrofit of the facelifted models door mirrors?

Hi clu1234

Dont worry about scratching. The piecha aerowings have 6 self.adhesive silikonrubbers in order to avoid from scratches.
