| I quite like LSD doors, but I would want the option of being to open them like a regular door in situations where I don't want to draw attention i.e. shopping at a supermarket, but could then open them LSD style in tight parking spaces or when I get out at my favourite restaurant and the valet parks the car |

| I like the Lambo doors, but they would definately have to be complimented with an aggressive wheel/tire combo as well as a slight lowering in stance. IMHO

I would do this in a heartbeat (if i had that extra money just lying around!) Park in tight spaces? Now your beggin for a practical use for these things, there is none, But i do think they are pretty cool. | |

| I would love to get these, though my installer said he needs to modify the windshield washer reservior in order to install. I will look into the LSDs. As far as attention goes, I have a 08 SMART fortwo car and I had take out the SLK and put that one in the garage to stop all the rubber necking. The Merc is beautiful, but SMART wins hands down on rubber necking... |

| Only because it is by far the ugliest thing I've ever seen in a production model on 4 wheels Just kidding, to each his own but even if it got 70mpg i wouldn't drive one . |

| OT but drove a Smart to Stuttgart and I must say the small thing is pretty stable for its size at 140kmph. I think for the city they're really convenient. I would get one if i lived in the bay area. |

| I guess its just a style thing for me, always is with cars. There's plenty of hybrids out there that get better mpg than the SMART and look at least passable as far as styling. About the only advantage I could see the SMART having is that you could park 2 of them in 1 traditional parking spot cause they're so small. When I first saw them I thought they must get 80mpg or something otherwise why would people by them unless they live in a REALLY cramped urban area like downtown NYC. |

| I would go with vertical doors. They open up more than lambo doors. Straight up and down when open. I think the sell them on Ebay. SLKman

| I must admit I rather like them, and after doing quite a bit of research, I would also go with the LSD doors model. As soon as I place my SLK order, I'll be ordering the LSD's as well. btw: Could someone please answer the question on how high they open to. It's the point at the top back of the door window when fully open. We've got notoriously low shopping center undercover parking around here, and apart from that, I also need to know how high to build my new garage... ![]() bbtw: Anyone else kinda find it funny that the doors are high on LSD ... *heh* |

| yeah I'm curious about how high they open as well..... I want to see some action shots of it actually opening and closing from inside! ![]() I'm assuming that once sitting in the car, its relatively easy to just reach out and pull on something to close the door? ie. I don't need freakishly long arms to reach something to pull the door down? |
