| I'm just back from a short blast with the hood down as it's a nice day but the thing is, it's only 10 degrees celsuis here in sunny Scotland. Anyway to the point, I was wondering if the wee windows at the rear (not the main side windows) are supposed to go down (mine do) when the roof is retracted. I seem to be getting a draught and thought if these were "up" when the roof is down it may give better protection. Is it possible to program the small ones to stay up when the roof is down and do you think it will make any difference to the draught/breeze/bloody cold wind getting in? |

| Yeah thats normal. Having seen the mounting I'd expect them to twist and flex about at any reasonable speed if up with the roof down so its probably best the way they are. You do get a draught mind you.

| You can lower the rear windows when the top is up, but you can't raise them with the top down. I have raised the rear windows on my '04 SL 500 with the top down, but the effect on wind buffeting is non-existent. I find less wind turbulence in the SLK with the top down and the front windows up than with the top up and the windows open. Dinoman |

| Right, the "wee windows" to the rear won't go up with the top down, the way the car is wired. It is a shame they won't, as I would like to be able to raise them along with my big side windows with top down, mount my wind blocker, use my heated seats and Airscarf, and be able to go top down on cooler days than is possible now. Makes me wonder if there isn't some kind of a modification whereby I could add a switch somewhere and get the "wee windows" up with the top down. Has anybody tackled this? |

| Me and Lenny did talk about it, thing is they are not really strong enough to be up without the roof and it would take a lot of additional wiring to make it possible. Also the on/off control would be guesswork and if the window is not in the exact position the roof controller left it then it wont move the roof, not only that you could easily burn out the motor.
