Greetings! This is my first post after buying a 2005 350SLK (blk/red) a few of weeks ago and have gained some knowlege just cruising some of the posts. I've already installed Eibach pro-kit springs to get rid of the gap in the rear. One question ( I'm sure there will lots more ). There is a plastic retangular cover about 2" X 6" in the left side inside the trunk that's come loose and ratteling around and it looks like some kind of small connector on the end of a wire in the opening. Does anyone know what's it for? Thanks for all who respond.

I have Command but not sirius, at least installed. The wire has a piece of foam around it also. Maybe it's pre-wired for Sirius and that 's for the antenna if one wanted to install it?

I guess I'll answer my own question. The dealer said it's for Sat. radio. Apparently it wasn't available in Canada in 2005,but "semi pre-wired" for future.
