I was wondering the same thing. Must be new for '09 as I don't see it listed in the current catalogue (for Canada anyway).

from zut:

Anyone knows what will be the official 2009 colours? According to the German MB site, these are the available colours for 2009:

Calcite White (650)
Fire Opal/Mars Red (590)
Black (040)
Cubanite Silver/Pewter (723)
Iridium Silver (755)
Jasper Blue/Orion Blue (345)
Obsidian Black (197)
Palladium silver (?)
Periclase green (300)
Tansanite Blue/Capri Blue (359)
Thulilte Red/Storm Red (541)

i think it is the palladium silver.

I find it interesting that in Canada, they should be in the position to recommend the manual transmission for the 350. One wonders what is so different about the US market that it's not available here. Other possibilities could be that it is available again starting with the 2009 model, or that the author of the article just goofed. Does anybody know?

The manual option has always been available for Canada, including 2008, guess it was just a U.S. thing - marketing...go figure!

See my friend, get yourself an LCD monitor its better for the eyesight and yes the new colour is as easy as cleaning a silver car.

Just "wandered" by and wanted to say hi to everyone here. I've had two previous SLKs, with my last car being a 2005 350. I'm actually looking at getting a 2009 350.

I do have a question though. I've read through some of the info on the 2009 but I can't seem to figure out if the 2009 SLK350 has the paddle shifters as standard or is that only available as part of the performance package?

posting 3 pics of real bad quality, sorry abt that:

one with the current color palette, taken out of the new slk 2008-2009 brochure. the other two with shots of the brochure.

mohammed, i believe the color you are looking for is the prehnite green/code 430 (upper right corner), and definitely not the periclase green/code 300, which is the regular dark green, as in british racing green (second row second from left).

and yes, you are right, there is green hue in that color...

Hello and welcome Vinny.

If it helps, the UK spec gives you the option to order the 7 speed auto on its own or, the 7 speed "sports" auto with paddles.

Code 427 for just the 7 speed auto.
Codes 427/428 for the 7 speed "sports" auto + paddles.

Portzy.

Thanx Portzy!

I don't "think", I have those options in the states though. I just wish there were a listing for the US options on the web somewhere. I guess if I wait long enough, the MBUSA site will have it up there (grin).
