Hello from another new owner

Hi Just thought I would say hello to the community, my brand new 200 gets delivered on Feb 29th, although it has to sit on my drive until March 1st when new plate comes in to force, I am guessing that I wont get much sleep that night.

Looking forward to experiencing my first SLK, is there anything I need to know about these cars that appear to be inherent glitches?

Reading through these pages certainly looks like I am in for some fun with this car.

Hello mate and welcome to the forum, the best slk community online. We have very reputable members that I now know for nearly two years who helped me settle in during the decision making process and the 7 month wait.

The car is a very fun small roadster to drive, knock on wood I haven't experienced anything lately but I have to admit its been the most reliable car I have purchased so far.

For now enjoy reading the posts and your def in for a surprise when you roll out of the showroom/dealership with your new car, It took me nearly 40 minutes to get out of the car when I arrived home with the new car on April 18th 2006, I felt very comfortable and enjoyed sitting in the car listening to the radio and getting acquainted to the new controls and buttons.

Welcome to our friendly group. Be aware that you may suffer from SSS soon after you get your car. SSS is "stupid smile syndrome". It's when you take your car out for a drive and when you return home, you can't wipe the grin off of your face. Don't worry, it will go away in a couple of years.
