I just saw this loaded, Designo (rare) SLK350 listed on eBay and said I should post this on SLKWorld its a great opportunity for potential slk owners as this is listed for 10,000 usd off the sticker price.

Its a new car and the buy now price is $56,925.00,

I just don't understand why people like the champagne/ gold/ beige colors on cars.

Maybe its rare because no one wants that color!!

Mo, thanks for the info. I've seen this on eBay before. Definitely not a fan of the Chablis color. Even more so as a premium Designo color. Looks like a hard sell even heavily discounted. It only takes one person who likes it and looking for a deal. I like the "all" options part. Can't have too many options.

To me, the Designo Chablis is very un-inspiring. I can see why M/B hasn't sold very many of them. Give me black or silver.

I actually like it, it goes very well with the characteristics of our region; the sand and sunny skies.

I saw a Chablis MB at my dealership once and I was quite impressed. It looks much better "in person" than on pictures IMHO.

Zut, I know you like the Chablis as you mentioned its one of the best colours from the Designo range.

Of course, colours are a matter of taste. Although the silver-grey palette is presently the most popular paint colour for any make of car, many people totally hate it. Personally, I like all the colours MB offers. And an SLK looks great in every shade available.

Personally...I think the SLK looks best in dark rich colors..1st choice Blue...IMO the lighter colors or more specifically a color like chablis takes away some of that agressive look we are all looking to intensify on our cars.

I don't totally hate it, but because of its prevalence on the streets, it's a little on the "safe and boring" side. I like the Chablis, actually. It's different. My favorites on the SLK are reds and blues, though. They counterbalance the overall classy style somewhat and give it a little more visual excitement.

I like the interior treatment, but for an exterior colour it is a little too tame IMO.
