When Does the Bremen Factory Shutdown?

Does anyone know when the Bremen factory will shutdown and when it will
be back in production?

Does anyone know why they would shutdown. I know in the US, years ago, a
car factory would have to shutdown to retool to build a new model year car.
But the SLK did not changed this year.

Does anyone with a car on order have a buld date between August 7 and
August 24th?

IIRC, they shutdown the last couple of weeks in August for an employee break (holiday), you'll have to do a search for it on benzworld.org, I recall IanX talking about it.

Last year it was the last two weeks of July and the first week of August. I had to delay my pickup slightly until the second week of August.

I thought that they now do not shut down at all, but rather produce a smaller volume of cars...

My car was built in late June but I couldn't collect it during the shutdown.

.... My car is supposedly in production in the third decamere of August and on a boat on the 1st september. I hope my dealer was not high on ouzo when quoting the dates !!!!1

Anyone know the dates of this years shutdown? Or, how I could find
out?

Maybe another way of asking is, how would I schedule of tour of the Bremen plant?
The people that I would have to contact would know, wouldn't they?
