I have just make a booking for my 350slk car to check up on the steering wheel which has a slight vibration when I drive slow and turning left and right. Checked the steering fluid and it is at the exact level required. Anyone else have experience this? No ! this is not a hand massage option !!!

| This can be anything from a failing steering pump to a damaged tire. Its really hard to comment on stuff like this you really need to get hands on with it to figure it out. A good tech should be able to tell from feel what's causing the problem.

Yes my car is booked in on Jan. 21, 2008 by the service manager to be checked. I hope it will be a warranty issue. I suspect it is the pump. I'll post results.

Got my car back after its been check by the dealer and they said that there is nothing wrong!! It seems when one drives slowly and and turn the steering wheel almost to it's maximum, the slk 350 power steering pump work hardest and one can feel or hear the pump working!. Can you guys try it and see?

I noticed some vibrations on my steering wheels right around 70mph. Under 70mph (60, 50, 40, etc) or over it (80, 90, 100, etc) and its not there. I wonder if this is something that's always there or I just notices now since I 've been in riding in cars that are much softer tuned than AMGs (Lexus) lately.

Hmm.... Sounds kind of like a resonance if straight line driving. Perhaps an out of round or misbalanced tire/wheel.
