iPhone and Bluetooth

There were some older posts but I thought that there might be some updated info. Is the iphone compatible with both the ipod function as well as the bluetooth puck. If it is functional with the BT, does the phonebook download?

I just bought the SLK a couple months ago and I am trying to decide whether to get the iphone or not. I realize it's a great toy, but if it's not compatible, I would rather put in a separate phone and ipod. Thanks.

My iPhone works great as an iPod in my 07 SLK55. I get a compatability warning message on the phone screen to shut off the phone function when I plug it, but that's fine with me. After that, everyhing works like playlists and such. COMMAND control of the iPod functions via the steering wheel buttons could be easier to navigate, but it does work. I don't have phone\bluetooth in my SLK so I can't comment on that. Good luck.
