Default Service A or B?

I am a bit confused by the reading of the maintenance schedule.
The car has been bought new November 2006 (2007 model year).
Two weeks ago at 11490 miles I noticed that the display says Service B in 1400 miles and change.
Now at 11740 miles the display says Service B in 28 days.
I have not yet reach 13000 miles for Service A and the OBD says Service B which is supposed to be performed at 26000 miles.
Does somebody know what the explanation for this apparent discrepancy is?

It looks like that the difference between the two Services - other than oil and filter, inspections, and checks - is the replacement of the dust filter.
I know we have a drought in South Florida but it is not so dusty as to warrant a dust filter at 13000 miles or am I wrong?

If I request the dealership to just perform an oil and filter change (no inspections and checks which I can do, no air filter and dust filter which I intend to do it myself) and reset the computer will it void the warranty?

Your input will be greatly appreciated.

My car has around 3,774km and it says Service b exceeded within 18 days. I took it to the dealership and they told me service A, B are free for you as you never brought in the car for servicing due to low miles.

Now, at 11746m the display says Service A in 26 days.
So, in one day I went from A to B then to A and from 29 days to 26 days for the next service.

No, I am not the one who is crazy.

And MBUSA is of no help. I told the representative that the dealership is not the one who built the car.

Thanks anyway for your reply. I am not looking for a free Service, I am looking for input which apply to my case.

First true service (after the acquaintance service at 1000-3000 miles) is around a year or roughly 13000 miles (whichever comes first) and it is service A (short service). It should cost around USD$110-120 for the oil and filter service.
