Just wondering oif anyone was using that clear film coating (3M makes it as do others) and what your opinion may be on the product? Would you use it again? Tia, Cph

I wouldn't. Looks crappy as it ages and once on your stuck with it. that's my experience anyway on a former car.

I have it on my car, and love it. Good quality film is hardly noticeable and it protects from road debris. I had a previous Mercedes Benz with it (aftermarket film) and was disappointed with the optics (you could see the difference from the film to the unprotected paint). The current film, applied by my dealer when I got the car, is much better. 9 months now and still crystal clear. I had a Vette previously, and it was peppered with small chips because of where I drive, so I think it's worth it. Bob

I have been thinking of this but was told it would yellow with time and decided against it but with my car being a daily driver it is getting pounded by interstate driving.

| whatever brand you choose, they have yellowing warranty. at least mine did. i had ventureshield before my accident and clearbra after. i like the clearbra better. highly recommend it. it also depends on the experience of the installer.

I wouldn't drive a new car without this, particularly if you plan to drive in the winter with sand and gravel on the road. I've had it installed by the dealer on 4 cars, including a white BMW and an yellow M3 and absolutely praise it. I've purchased additional material and have the front of my Orion blue SLK55 pretty much completely protected. Plus I have the thicker material over the headlights. It is barely noticeable up close and personal. From 4-5 feet it can't bee seen.
