Default Some warranty work but was it done?

Took my car in for some warranty work last week.

1. Replaced the idle pulley - was making a bit of a noise

2. Upgraded Comand - was rebooting on long journeys

3. Changed the light sensor sensitivity that drives the comand display and wipers. I didn't ask for this (only mention that the comand reboot tends to happen when i go through lots of tunnels). The said the factory had set it to the wrong setting for the glass!!!!

How do I know if they upgraded the Comand? Seems exactly the same and none of my settings were lost. Isn't there supposed to be arrival time shown now?

Also I am not sure I am that happy about them changing the light sensor. There wasn't anything wrong with it. I haven't driven it much since so haven't seen the effect yet.

Car is back in next week to get the bonnet repainted.

mcat,

You will only notice the changes on the COMAND if they upgraded the headunit they could have loaded new software onto the AGW since its actually in control but you wont notice anything different about it.

Ask them to update your headunit and then set your light sensor back to how it was, the sensor just sends out a message saying how dark it is in % any COMAND problems would not be caused by the sensor

The headunit is what you see it has the display and the controls its what most people call the COMAND.

The AGW is the actual brain and its hidden away under the passenger floor.

You can't tell what version the AGW is running but you can check the headunits by using engineering mode
