| Just curious to the percentage of people that have the Audio 20 or the upgraded HK system or something else. |

| ..change the poll, so you can add options - I've got an MB command, and that can't be included in the poll the way it's set up now.

| COMAND and HK - completely unimpressed with the whole sound experience - sounds to me like one big mono system with the speaker smack in the middle of the dash. Very occasionally I'll get a stereo experience but the type of music source that gives it is totally random it seems. Don't even get me started on the cr@pness of the Uk nav system!! (sorry to sound so negative about these wonderful cars) |

| HK-Logic, I'm happy with it, I don't care too much about the audio on a 2-seater roadster, most of the time, I rather open the top and enjoy the surroundings.

| Luckily, the car we purchased had HK-Logic 7/Command. Nice system for factory. I really enjoy satellite radio, but, one of my favorite things when driving the SLK is, make sure the car is clean (always), drop the top, put in Sam & Dave's "Hold on, I'm coming"...., turn it up loud, lean back, and ride. WOW!

| I've got the HK with my COMAND & NAV. honestly, this soundsystem sucks at playing any music that i have....whether it's classical, techno, metal, pop....it's pretty much good for listening to the weather band and that's it. Not to mention the fact that i have never EVER heard anything from the rear 'surround' speakers. what's the point of logic7 and 'surround' speakers if it can't fill the space better? (i have a SQL competition setup from a couple years ago in my 560 SEC so i may be just a little biased). |

| I have the standard Audio 20 system and I'm happy with the sound. It's just one thing I'm wondering about. Has anybody heard any sound from the two small speakers in the middle of the car behind the seats? I have three speakers in each door and one in the dashboard. That makes seven. Number eight and nine is silent. /Bengt |

Actually, I probably liked the Bose system in my SLK 320 better than the HK, but I think the HK sounds quite a bit better than you are making it appear. I think there is a trend to play music with unrealistic bass and blasting out like everyone else wants to hear it too. But played at reasonable volume, I think the HK gives quite good performance. Certainly adequate when travelling on the road with the top down. But to each his own...

| Any suggestions on music then? I've tried both Mp3s, sirius, and Cds...btw, the speakers in my SEC was SQL, not SPL...(quality vs volume). what the HK system lacks is the ability to fill the cabin equally, and the tweeters aren't 'bright' enough. Plus the b*** could be stronger... :P PS i usually listen to music with top up and windows closed... |

I mostly listen to Sirius with the top down. Well, I guess I listen to it with the top up too, but lately mostly down.
