Pre-Delivery Inspection

I remember reading a thread on here or possibly MBWorld a few months ago that was incredibly long and thought out as to what to check before taking delivery of the car....anyone know where it is? I tried searching for it with no luck.

Bloody hell!

There is no way anybody would actually do that at a dealer, if it has all 4 wheels and the engine starts the cars OK!

All this and more is sorted at the factory

Of course, I just remembered that I read some crazy long thing on here and was curious now that it matters what it said.

, I didn't really check it either, the car was kinda dirty and I told them to at least stray it clean before deliver, my salesman actually hand washed it for me, I was there with him, can't blame them b/c it just came off the truck. The seats were dirty but I ended up washing the car again when I got home.

I've seen the pre-delivery checklist before. It's thorough, but most would be awe stricken and somewhat overwhelmed when picking up their new SLK to follow that checklist. I would give it a good once over, checking for any exterior body damage (high and low) and any evidence of paint over spray as well as the interior.

Ah OK no worries.

I've not seen a car yet that arrived from MB damaged if anything is wrong it tends to be chipped paint work from handling and thats very obvious even after a quick inspection.

Never turned the key and got smoke or anything silly like that, they test them all anyways.
