Am I correct in thinking that the iPod integration kit does not support Nano's? I've just looked through my instruction manual and it says Gen 3 and Gen 4 but not Gen 2 which I believe Nano is!!! I have an iPod mini which works great but will need to get a new iPod soon and was going to get a nano but just wanted to be sure it worked first. I'm guessing not ![]()

Hi Gary, All MP3 players can be connected via the aux socket in the glove compartment. The only downside being that the tracks are not displayed on either the Command or dash display. You also have to run a separate charging cable for use on longer journeys. The MB intregration kit overcomes both of thes problems, however previous postings have suggested higher sound volumes are achieved using the aux socket. Another option is to play MP3's on recorded CD's or DVD's. Typically at a 256 bit rate you can have approx 90 tracks on a CD and several hundred on a DVD, so it's just like having a CD changer. Used this way track info appears on both the Command and dash display. Whatever you do, you will have a lot of fun with your SLK. Enjoy.

I'm pretty sure the Nano is supported, bearing in mind UK dealers were selling black 8GB Nanos with the Mercedes Benz logo on them not so long ago.

Just to let you know Mercedes Benz of Milton Keynes have some 8gb limited edition Mercedes Ipod Nanos for sale at £169. Same price as the Apple shop but with the MB logo on it, in black too so should match your car just nicely. Here's the link: http://shop.mercedes-benzofmiltonkey...27d8d635664e58
