I can't seem to figure out how I get the drivers seat to automatically slide all the way back and possibly have the steering wheel move up when the car is turned off. I was under the impression that there was a way to set this up so it retracts when the car is turned off and returns once the key is put into the ignition again. If some kind soul could help me out it would be greatly appreciated...

For the steering to move up, Turn on your ignition, browse through your meun on your dash board until you see a large paragraph tell you to "reset ...". Then click your up or down button to browse thru the sub-meun until you see "convienent" then you will be able to active the function there. For the driver seat, i'm not sure they have that function available.

depends on the year, for example my slk seats dont tilt back with the easy entry feature whilst the steering wheel tilts upwards. If your car is a 2006 model and onwards the steering wheel moves upwards and not the drivers seats compared to 2005 models. I hope that helps.

I love the "easy enter/exit" feature, I don't understand why they would take that out??? Also the right side mirrors tilting down for parallel parking is awesome too...

I knew the 2005s had this feature, although I hadn't enabled it. When I purchased my used 2005 SLK, I only received one key fob. I mentioned this to the seller and he said he would see if he could locate the missing second key fob. I never received it from him. When I took my wife's car in for Service B about a month ago, I ordered a new fob for my car. It's the new chrome trimmed fob. When I checked to make sure it worked, the seat slide rearward and the steering wheel titled up. Neat feature. I just checked with the original key and it doesn't automatically enable the easy entry feature. Don't know, can't 'splain. Why is the easy entry feature unique to one key fob. Is one designated as key one and the other key two?

the easy enrtry feature is quiet covenient, especially on a small car like the slk. I found it a bit difficult to get into a bmw z4 as the interior atmosphere makes it look a bit tight.
