New prices in Germany

Since the 1st of July we got higher prices

SLK200 - 35.938,00
SLK280 - 41.233,50
SLK350 - 46.231,50
SLK55 - 68.127,50

Euro...

In USD
- 48.920,12
- 56.133,94
- 62.954,21
and the winner is - 92.770,36 for the AMG55

A CL65 costs 219.555,00 = 298.994,14 USD hurra!

That's what happens when the euro goes up,

.. I remember it was one to one exchange rate, what is it now? 1.30 USD to an euro?

Even the Sterling pound is rising, I remember whilst ordering the Jaguar they told me to expect to around 105,000 thousand dollars but when it was time to recieve the car the price has risen by 5,000dollars.

wow steep prices.
i am thankful i am in pounds sterling, as the USD gives an amazing exchange rate for us, the euro fluctuates but generally gives a decent exchange

I thought the new CL65 is a limited model to a specific number, since when are they thinking of mass producing ?

Gero, those prices include 19% VAT.

A base SLK55 comes in at 57,250 EURO = 77,945.80 USD

In California, I got a 8% sales tax, 20% Federal Income tax, 13% State income tax, 12% SSI tax, ~10% usage fees/other taxes.

So when you see the lower price in the US, Some States collect allot after the fact that pushes the price of products through the roof.

What other taxes does the EU or Germany have besides the VAT?

trade tax
insurance
ground (we pay tax for ground we´ve bought!)
animals (for a big dog in Berlin about 250 Euro p.year)
cars
food
environment
pension (Yes! True! pensioners are paying taxes on their pension!)
and, and, and... this list would be 100m long

Your list looks about the same. My assumption would be the heritage tax is like a state income tax.

In Cal there trying to push another fee for pets, either have them spayed or neutered or pay another fee, ouch.
