wheels / tires for slk280

I've got an 06 slk280, and after 12k miles the rear tires are balder than a newborns ass...

Should I get new tires or new rims and tires, if tires i need brand / type suggestions

if rims, both

Anything larger than the stock 16" wheels would be a step in the right direction. I personally think the 17" & 18" five spoke AMG wheels are a great choice. I also like the Michelin PS 2 Sport tires. You asked for a suggestion, that's mine. Based on your post and user ID, I assume your located in the US.

Many great tires to choose from, You have the Michelin PS2's that has been one of the favourites over here , Bf Goodrich , Toyo , Bridgestone.

Checkout tirerack for reviews, I would reccomend you to get new rear tyres for now and wait for the front tires to get bald and after that go for new rims and tires.
