Default OEM Windscreen from ebay in Germany

To those who have ordered the OEM windscreen from the ebay Seller in Germany, any help on how to facilitate the transaction would be appreciated. The listing is in german and i have no way of contacting the seller about the product. Any help is greatly appreciated - and the seller's e-mail address would be a big help! Loving my new SLK so far....although the Audio20 is a bit of a joke for a $50K car!!

No problem. Send me the ebay no. I will translate it for you and contact the seller.

Thumbs up

I bought a windscreen recently from mb-schaefer and his english is pretty good. I got it for 315 Euros including shipping to Canada. Did the transaction via Paypal from e-bay.

He shipped it fast (via DHL), exactly as I requested (avoiding UPS who charge crazy "brokerage" charges to Canadians).

I like the look of the windscreen, but was suprised how it actually directed more air toward me because of the vents at the bottom under the plexiglas. If anyone finds a good solution, it would be nice for the cooler months.

don't get mad but you did not install it backwards? by that i mean the buttons to remove are inside the car. we have had one member do it backwards and he had the same complaint.

As jbanks said, it may be on backwards. Just to clarify: Look at the black plastic at the sides, junction between plexiglass and the sides of the center piece. The side that has a smooth surface and no round buttons faces the back of the car. The side with the round buttons faces the cabin/cockpit.

Placing the OEM windscreen in reverse may be a good idea for summer, it can substitute for the AirScarf during hot days.

I'll have to try this when the temp reaches 80 degrees F.

Weather man said it was 101 here yesterday. Hot and muggy. It is strange (think it's the humidity), I have been on the east coast in South Carolina in 96F weather and it wasn't bad at all. You come here and 96F weather is sticky and hard to breath.

Anyway back to the topic. When I just ordered mine two weeks ago. I never talked to the guy or anything. Clicked buy it now, payed with paypal imediately and poof it showed up in 4-5 days.
