Pewter. But I couldn't find one in the states when I wanted the car so I just bought a black one off the floor. Still awesome.

I ordered the color that I preferred first -- pewter/cubanite silber. Iridium was a close second but far too common on the streets.

My first choice was silver, second choice was silver, my last choice was silver. Now what's my favorite SLK color? I agree it's common but I love it. It's only the second silver car in my life. I saw an unusual color combination at the local MB dealer today. A 2006 dark blue (Caspian blue?) with brown nappa leather interior. Blue & brown? It's been on the dealer lot since December. Appears to be hard to sell. A term that's applied to many things, "not an ugly one in the bunch". I like all colors. Give me one of each.

I like silver. The question was which shade of silver? Iridium, pewter or Diamond?

I'm not so sure if brown Nappa interior goes with dark blue exterior.

I love it. If I do trade for another SLk it'll have to be Pewter.. Unless theres the car I want on the floor then I may be silly again and just drive off in it.

My preference is Iridium silver. I do like the pewter and it's a close second. I saw a Diamond silver today, can't say that I like it. Not silver, light tinted bluish silver. You're right, the brown nappa doesn't go with the dark blue, but if I was shopping and it was discounted, I think I could live with it. Won't see many more like it. I understand the Firemist red is available with the brown nappa. Someone has posted a pic on one of the forums. It's also and unusual combination. Most manufacturers are very conservative with interior and exterior combinations. It appears MB is very open minded.

Let me rephrase. I like all colors but I prefer the Iridium silver the best. No color is a bad choice on the SLK.

I originally wanted either black or firemist red but then I saw the capri blue with beige interior in the showroom with my name on it.

I love my Caspian Blue. Beside the Vario roof, this colour is probably the feature of my SLK that brought me the most compliments. However, my original choice was Mocha black. I just wasn't ready to pay the extra 2,500CND to get it.

I really wanted the Yellow color they had for SLKs in previous years. Second was the Jaspar Blue available in Europe. I think that
was the same as the Orion Blue sold in the
US in 2004, maybe even 2005. Settled for
Firemist Red, which became Storm Red with
the 2007 model year. Pick it up in Germany
August 24th.

Hey easty, i wanted a black SLK, but i could get the pewter one immediately (3rd choice) so i went for it. if money were no object, i'd have gotten graphite. absolultely LOVE that colour for this car. Also, i have 2 black cars already, and since i wax my own cars, i'd have no free weekends if i got a black slk.
