Default DIY Handbrake Adjustment

Anyone have instructions/photos for how to adjust the hand brake on an '05 SLK55? I assume it's similar if not the same as any other R171. I noticed that I'm having to pull my handbrake lever up much further versus when the car was new, and I assume that's due to normal brake wear. Thanks in advance for your help.

also search handbrake and hand break and handbreak (often misspelled)

Thank you! Actually I did do a search before I posted and did see the thread that ultimately had the answer, but the title of the thread had led me to beleive it dealt with a different issue, and I never read the thread all the way to the bottom. Thanks again.

shark, as I read your last post, you did find the p/b adjustment method, right? I found that "releasing"/backing off 10 teeth was too much. Try 7 teeth as a starter, as long as you can turn the hub by hand. I stopped at 7 teeth, but will probably take it to 5 teeth when Spring gets here. Three(3) clicks on the parking brake handle will easily hold the car on somewhat shallow up/down-hill situations, but I need that 4th click to hold in my driveway(I call it Mt. Galo).
The adjustment process is a pain due to having to put the wheels back on to test the holding strength, but if one is a diy-er, it's worth the trouble.
