Didn't get one. Just get them from Costco, 24 16"x16" microfiber cloths for around $10.

One came in the mail.

As someone mentions later, I think they stopped after changing the dash material. I have the white skin scraping kind so I need the cloth

I didn't like that material at first, but I do like the non-reflective nature of it. And it has a sort of suede soft look to it. I like it. And I guess it is now a collector's item because they stopped making it

My dealer said the same. It seems that they stopped providing them when they changed the interior material.

Just give Mercedes a call, I'm sure they will sent you one, I got one during the European Delivery in a DVD case, I never took it out, left it there and when my SLK arrived at my dealer, he had a package that included another one but he saw one in the car and told me he took it back to the parts dept. I didn't bother to ask him to get it back.

Delivery of my '05 was in Jan '05 and
the cloth was included. I've also come
to appreciate the original interior despite
it taking some effort to clean.

My SLK (manufacturing date Feb. '06) has the new interior (therefore is out of the serial number range from the TSB). Of course it didn't came with a cloth and the dealer told me they never heard of such cloth. In my opinion you still need a cloth even with the new interior material.
I called MB about 3 weeks ago and they promised to send one; I'm still waiting.
I remember ETYU called MB right after me but his request was denied.
I'll post back if I'll receive mine.

Yup, my request was denied. The service rep had no idea what I was talking about. It was just a try to see if I can get a freebie. No biggie however, one can purchase the microfiber cloths relatively inexpensive from Costco. I usually use the cloth rinsed in clean water and wrung almost dry (mildly damp) and it takes out the small white marks easily. I use it to clean the interior, except the clear plastc at the instrument cluster and the screen for the Audio 20.

And why not those? Are you worry it will scratch it? Or take off a finish? Or do you KNOW that it does some sort of damage?

There's a chance of scratching the clear plastic. For these, I use a cleaner specific for the clear plastic (Meguairs has one in a 4oz spray bottle) and a microfiber cloth intended for eyeglasses/sunglasses (similar to the ones provided by Oakley).

Spray unto the cloth and not directly on the plastic and have another dry microfiber cloth for wiping.

Addendum: It's called Meguiar's Mirror Glaze Clear Plastic Detailer (# 18).

Default One came with my car

My 06 350 was a June, 05 build that I picked up in early July of 05. It came with an MB cloth in a CD-like case.

I called MB last week regarding something else and I mentioned again the microfiber cloth. They checked and say that one was delivered to my address a while back. I didn't receive it and I never missed any packages left by my door (also the package should have fit through the slot in my door).
Anyway MB was nice enough to send another one and now I too have one original microfiber cloth in the DVD-like case. So if your next MB car will be 1 cent more expensive blame it on me, but there is nothing like quality free stuff.

ETU, Thanks for the info about Meguiar's ... #18. I've been looking for a good cleaner for my instrument lenses and wind blocker.
