Hi everybody,

Finally, i had enough time this saturday to take some pictures about my car.

It's a 2005 AMG 55. i just bought it 3 weeks ago, with 20 000 kms. the previsous owner has never use it under the rain !! Perfect appearance.
Main options :
- Irridium silver
- Black / Grey nappa seats
- Airscarf
- Comand APS + 6 CDC

Thanks to the forum, i've bough the complete kit of Zaino product. The result is great ...

Some pictures :

First modification : led bulbs for the licence plate :
On the left, original bulb. On the left, led bulb

Second modification : mods4cars roof module. Easy installation. i have not yet completely understood how it works, but it works ....

Next modification to come : electrochrome mirror, led bulbs for turning light.

I live in France, close to Paris. My wife and i love US. We have been several time in US (Chicago / Boston / NYC / ben & Jerrys factory !!! ...). Next trip in 2008 should be west coast.
i work for a japanese company, which devellop car radio and navigation systems for OEM market.

You love the US...my wife and I love Paris!! Been there 5 times. We find taking the train out of Landstahl is very relaxing, you can't beat the price for 1st class traveling.

And the Metro makes it unnecessary to take a car.

The 'Chateau' behind is quite interesting, you are right ...

for your tries in french (words or sentence). Now, you have your teacher !!

Regarding the antenna, yes it is an SL model, completely painted. Looks great, but FM reception is very very bad. I've checked internally the antenna amplifier. This amplifier amplificates also the remote control (key). i open this amplifier and found that there is additional coaxial connector input, which is not used on my car (not even the components are soldered).
Based on MB doc, this additional input is used for Teleaid systems.

I've make a modification in order to add a second FM antenna (in fact a single wire in the bumper) to have better reception. It should be my job for the saturday/sunday ...

He might be an economist, That doesnt mind owning a SLK55 with an engine of the SLR "Sans SuperCharger/Kompressor", there fore with the money of the SLR he could use it as invesment in purchase of share to get high dividends

Doesn't Brabus have a kit that does that? I don't know how much the kit is, and how much the parts cost to you, but have you compared them?

For the house behind my car, it is a small castle close to my house. Name is "chateau des mesnuls" in a town call "mesnuls". You should find it on googlemap.

Regarding the cost of the antenna, i do not know the cost of Brabus solution. As a comparison, mine will cost me nothing (only the time spent on the car, and few bucks for the wire : Difficult to do less .....) .
