Default parking assist mirrors

So I was scrolling through the menus in the steering wheel and found that there's an option in Driver Assist stating something like "parking assist mirrors" (and no I dont mean the folding mirrors when locking) what is that? Are my mirrors supposed to angle down when I put it in reverse? Cause mine sure isn't doing that.

Please share.

Exactly that! But a precondition is that you have pressed the right button for the outside mirror on the passenger side. Otherwise nothing will happen.

Is this an extra option or does all SLKs have it?

In Germany it was an extra option with those "folding mirrors". In other words the buttom between mirror buttoms must have the function to fold the mirrors manually.

In the USA only those cars with memory seats have the drop-down mirror on reverse option. Don't know about the rest of the world.

On pages 147 -149 of the 2006 SLK Owners Manual it says to use the Settings menu, then the Convenience sub-menu then select Mirror Adjustment Parking Aid.

I have memory seats but I just checked my settings menu and manual and this feature appears to have been removed for the 2007 model year. The only entry under the convenience menu (or mentioned in the manual) is the easy entry/exit function.

Can anyone else with a 2007 confirm that they also don't have it?

Man, if they got rid of that feature I may not buy another SLK. I use it at least twice a day, once parking at work and again parking at home.

My SLK has it, but not the folding mirrors. Quite frankly I could get away without it... Cheers,

My 07 55 has power memory seats, but no parking assist options on the convenience menu. Have not checked the manual, but I think they removed this feature. My 07 ML350 has power mirrors that fold in when you lock the car. I really wish this feature was on my SLK.
