| The combo filter is inside the car in the passenger footwell it is very easy to replace if you don't mind dropping the covers down. It is the cabin air filter and is located in the cabin not by the battery it would be destroyed by weather right away if it where. All you need parts wise to get it out is a torx screwdriver.

| thank you Dan. I just checked and yes I do see 3-4 torx screws holding the panel. So will the panel drop right out after taking out those screws? also, may I know where I can order the filter or buy it locally? how much? I promise I will do a tutorial when all the info are confirmed. -Jac |

| What happens is if you remove the screws and pull the side of the panel away from the center console because there is a clip in there that can hold it up even without the screws. Then if you disconnect the 12V socket you can remove the panel from the car and you will have easy access to the heater box look for 2 retaining clips on the unit they should be placed one right by the other slide them out of the way and then follow the box around you should see one more clip you need to pry it off its a snap fit so just pull it away from the box and it should release. Once thats done the bottom of the filter housing should come out and you will be able to pull the combo filter out from below, replace it then re-attach the housing making sure the lugs of the cover fit into the holes in the heater box then clip it back together again and replace the under dash cover. The filter is made by Mann/Hummel under the MannFilter brand probably best to replace it with the same one since its a weird shape kinda like a V you should be able to order it from your dealership not sure exactly how much off of the top of my head but its not much and of course as Ynot says if they are charging a lot for it i can get you the PN and you can use the site he recomended.
