Default 350 lowering springs/sports suspension kit

I have been driving MY2007 SLK 350 for a couple of months on standard suspension, and am now considering fitting lowering springs and sports suspension.

I am looking for somenoe to supply and fit for me in the UK

Any make or recommendations or experiences of changing from standard suspension which is slightly too soft on certain roads would be helpful

I am only looking for less pitch on A/.B roads on sweeping curves, as i find otherwise for Motorways it is fine still need to retain comfort as i intend to stay on the standard 17" wheels

My Shortlist is AMG do they supply aftermarket (can i get fitted by dealer ?), -Eibach ?

Any advice will be very useful

Springs:

- AMG for a 350: Not available.
- Eibach: Good springs, not to hard, about 220,00 Euro
- H&R: Hard suspension, about 220,00 Euro
- Weitec: Similar to Eibach, about 150,00 Euro
- Carlsson/Vaeth/Kicherer/MKB: Using Eibach mostly, about 300,00 Euro

Chassis:

- Bilstein B16 PSS9: very good, about 1500,00 Euro
- Carlsson, Väth: very good, a changed Bilstein/Eibach system, about 2.200,00 Euro

Go for H&R Springs I Think they are the best!

If you donīt drive the sport chassis from MB, it is not very comfortable to change the springs only. H&R, Mohammed, would be in that case the worst choice.

And you can see a difference between the different springs in lowering front and rear. Eibach: front and rear equal high, H&R: drops the rear more down, Weitec: drops the front more down.

KW coilover suspension, adjust dampering/stiffnest/height to the way you want, it's about $2,500 USD.

Hi bejak,

and where is the car around it?
I believe you, great improvement of handling.
I think the shock absorbers of the KWs are a little bit difficult to adjust.

Here are two possibilities of height of the Carlsson-Bilstein-Eibach-stuff and my recommendation:

Hi Bernd js.
Yes the dampers are difficult to adjust. I only could find the top adjustment. I think this is the rebound adjustment. The bump adjustment done at the factory works fine but it would be fun to try some fine tuning.
Original my car had the standard suspension, no sport chassis.
In speed over 200km/h the car felt a bit unsafe. It was too soft and too much air was pressed under the car. After installation of the KW kit the car is secure at any speed. I have tested 230km/h without any problems.

About pics of the car, I have some problems attaching pics because they have been used before in other thread. I don't know how to send them once more.
