| I noticed today that I can only operate my SL hard top when the car is in n Neutral. However, my SLK allows me to operate the hard top even when the car is in Drive. |

| I don't know about the SL, but I put the top down in the '07 SLK55 AMG that I test drove when we were at a traffic light. What's the deal with movement, one of the first things I read on here was that you can't operate the top while driving...is this moving "at all"? Is there a threshold, like mph? |

| I thought factory ones allow it up to 5mph, that means if you have the 7g-tronic transmission, let go of the brakes in Drive and it'll still let you operate it? I could be wrong, DanSLK will probably chime in.

| There's nothing to it, if anything bad happens, remove it and take it back to MB dealer, they wouldn't have a clue and repair it under warranty. Do it...
