Grille Matt black or gloss

I have a 2007 SLK 350, and i am looking to colour code Grill Fin, to matt black instead of Iridium Silver, i like the style of the AMG grille

Can anybody tell me if on the AMG the Grille fin is a matt black or is it gloss black .

I am planning to take mine in to be colour coded + bonnet aerowings next week

Any advice or comments would be helpful

Is the colour 040 used on 55AMg Iridium Silver, i am assuming this is gloss black ?

You´re right: gloss black, Mike. All AMG55 fins are in 040, either the cars are in silver, red or anything else.

The black series I think not, but I do not know exactly.

Thanks, do you know anybody who has painted there SLK350 grill 040 Black gloss, i am not proposing making other mods than fitting Schatz (matt chrome)Aerowings and painting the fins just to make the car a bit different looking without making it look totally AMG

Your thoughts would be interesting

i think the grill fins and hood fins should be painted to match...

Interesting it would black hood fins on a black grille, the effect would be lost, as you need a contrast

Not sure how many other people sell them i think Piecha might do so PM noregret4life and see what he says if they don't make them then MB will sell them to you
