slk 350 door rattle

My 2006 slk 350--which I worship, maintain religiously, and otherwise make the center of my existence--has developed what seem to be slight door rattles on both sides. I have seen discussion of these on the mbusa blog, wherin one owner recommended placing a piece of heavy rag on the door jambs. Has anyone else experienced this?

There are some that had this problem - go to benzworld.com and do a search door rattles, some used tape over the door catches but this was in the early days there maybe a better fix now.

I had the problem for awhile but it seemed to have
disappeared. Temp related? Moisture related?

I think it is temperature related. In hot weather the rattle is there straight after closing a door, but seems to settle down during a journey. In cold weather I never hear it.

Welcome to this forum! I feel the same about my SLK. What a great car!
