Default spy photos of facelift?

Anyone have any idea what the 2008 facelift might look like? any spy photos or drawings floating around...have a 2007 on order, wondering if a farther wait is worth it...

Nope. Nothing concrete as far spy photos or the like.

IMHO, I wouldn't wait. There will ALWAYS be something different with each model year -- be it minor or major. I know you will enjoy the SLK as soon as you get it.

Agree on both counts. Don't the new exhaust tips
resemble those now on the Crossfire?

Default not much change

Thanks for the link....not that much of a change...nothing radical, not worth waiting, I'll keep my order in place....its like buying a computer, the minute you buy one they come out with something slightly slicker...

Yes, but look at the "nose". It looks like it will be even more pronounced. I can't wait to see the final version.

x4, the exhaust tips are hideous, the round ones are much classier and sportier. The short antenna is an easy fix, what was MB thinking. So far from what I've seen the 2008 isn't worth waiting for.

I just noticed that difference. It seems like the lower edge no longer touches the bumper and it sticks out further. In addition, the horizontal blades (on the sides of the MB star) have been replaced with a black screen.

I don't like that either. So far, the changes are for the worse.

Here's an idea... Why not remove the unnecessary headlamp washers and use that money to improve the crappy nav. I would really like to do a search by name and not always HAVE to enter an address. Sorry for the rant, but the saying goes, "if it aint broke, don't fix it." They're fixing all the wrong stuff

The central grille area below the bumper is not exactly an improvement either.

I agree mate only thing with the washers is they are a legal requirement in most places with Xenon headlamps helps keep the scatter to a minimum and while not so handy for CA they can be a lifesaver in bad weather especially when the cars starts to fire them automatically to keep them constantly clean

By the way moved this into general discussion i figure now its becoming more of a chat about the facelift in general not just on the 55

We're still gas dependant in 2058?! At least the antenna is gone. Do we still have radio then?

Zut, You really put the "lift" in "facelift"! I'm smiling thinking of all the savings on tires. No summer tires, no snow tires. Just all-season air pressure! Dinoman

Since the car is hovering, maybe they should consider replacing the cup-holder by a barf-bag-holder!!!

Sorry guys, I realize that I am a little !

More of a noselift rather than facelift; wait 'till they remove
the surgical tape.
