Chats: 1151 | That was the size of the wad!! no discount, at the time, there was quite a waiting list - I ordered it in July 2004, picked it up from Bremen on 10th Nov 2004, px'd my R170 230K, did NOT order Airscarf/heated seats (I'm a biker ), automatic (it's a sports car ), but apart from that, it's (fairly) fully loaded. Why do you ask??

Chats: 0 | Edmunds.com will give you the MSRP and invoice prices. The price will likely lay between these two numbers. A simple formula to determine the bottom dollar is: Invoice - holdback (3% of MSRP) - incentives - rebates. Of course this doesn't figure the cost of the dealer's floorplan or advertising costs. Incidentally, MB has a $10,000 kick back to the dealers (incentive) to move the '09s which ends today. Many dealers are passing it on to the customer. Those that won't have to be given a little push. There are plenty of SLKs used and new on the market, and I believe the luxury car market will be very soft for the next year or so, and I expect MB will offer some very juicy deals in the coming year. BMW, MB, and a few others never used to do any discounting. The customer always had to pay MSRP, but that situation has changed. BMW has had some outstanding deals and MB is following along. |

Chats: 0 | I have owned my 1999 SLK230 for about 18 months and while I don't have the origibal invoice I do have an original copy of the M-B UK price list and brochure (both in immaculate condition!). According to the price list, my SLK would have cost in the region of £33,500. I doubt if the original buyer would have got a discount as I believe there was a significant waiting list in those days. The only comment I would make is that while my car has spent it's whole life in the North West of England, it was supplied by Alan Day Mercedes of London which suggests it may well have been a company procured car which might have benefited from a fleet-purchase discount. Regards John |
