Can someone please tell me the best option for antenna replacement for a 2006 "whip" antenna? I looked at the 2009 which is shorter and more flexible but when I cover the car it would still need to come off which is what I'm trying to avoid. The SL antenna is really short but not sure it would look right on car and is painted. Also, I have concerns on performance....any comments? Ideally, I'm looking for something that is about 6" high that works reasonably well. Is there one out there?

Ditto on the modified R170 antenna, fits your spec for 6 inches, and is as good as OEM whip antenna as far as Smartkey range is concerned, a tad less than OEM "eye poker" antenna on the FM and AM reception.
