| Well i got my car back today and had a few positive observations ...other then the bill that is 1. Alarm beep lock/unlock is now enabled... loving it already! 2. Cornering fog light feature was disabled... As i now have 8000k HIDs in my fog lights and can't have that working with HID ballasts 3. No detection of the Piecha roof module 4. No detection of the Kleyman 3BFM module 5. Got a brand new mirror/housing to solve my shaking mirror issue 6. All other mods were not a problem for service 7. SRS malfunction has been fixed with a harness replace Overall the car is running great. I can feel a difference already. Must be the fresh oil. Also, it may just be me... but the exhaust has a much better tone now at around 2000rpm. Not sure if that is related to service or some tuning done by the tech i know... or it could just all be in my head. The tech was throughly impressed with the LCD install. As a matter of fact i had to pick his jaw up off the seat (can't have him slobber on my seats) Didn't get a chance to show him the roof module at work, or the Kleyman 3BFM, however hope to drop in and give him a full rundown soon enough.Overall as usual extremely happy with the level of service and condition of the car back from my dealer. Completely cleaned inside and out. Not a watermark/fingerprint left on the car Just glad to see my back on the driveway... you all know what i mean |

If you have the "Lighting Package" and NOT an AMG of any kind, then you most likely have "cornering foglights" that activate on their own at certain speeds and turning of the steering wheel. This will damage your ballasts over time because the fog lights fade in/out when they turn on. -If this is what you have, then you need to go to the dealer and have them Disable the "cornering foglights feature" If they say anything like "It won't work because its part of the lighting package and may disable the low beam HID system" Smile... and reply It can, and Has been done, so please take a look at it on the StarD to disable If you do NOT have the "cornering foglights" and you still see flicker in your fog lights, you will need to give me more details on your HID system. Who makes it? How did you install it? Is it wired straight to the stock foglight harness only? Is it wired to the battery & the stock harness? What type of flashing do you get? Flashing when you turn them on? Flashing after they have been powered up? Are they turning completely ON and OFF, or just blinking? Do you get a "Bulb out" warning when it happens? Sorry for all the questions, but i'll need the info to help you figure out a solution

| Thanks for the report and I'm glad it was a pleasant (other than pricing!) service experience. One quick question though - any details on how they enabled the horn beep with locking feature? My local dealer said it can't be done

The tone does NOT come from the car horn actually. It comes from the alarm siren itself. So its that "digital" beep similar to the alarm sounding. 1 Beep when unlocks, 3 Beeps when Locks. The dealer should be able to do this, since i was able to get it done at mine. Though they may charge you extra for labor time in the shop. I just get lucky with my tech.
