| In 2004, Mercedes made a Special Edition SLK with these wheels and some other unique features to recognise the end of the R170's. You can see the "Special Edition" badge on the fenders in front of each door. The wheels are 17"... 225/45R17 in front and 245/40R17 in back. They look more like 18" because they have a small center hub area and a lot of "air" between the spokes. |

the car also has a "silver grill"... "SLK32 AMG" rear deck lid spoiler, and, my favorite, different seats & shift knob which IMO make the interior look ALOT better!! | |

| Yes, what you see is all stock. The two things that attracted me to in the first place were the unique wheels and that awesome interior. The seats are a thick Napa leather that, after three years, look like they've never been sat in. |

| Here's an addition . My SLK playing in snow . Winter rims, winter tires (verrry cold here and the roads are very icy ), almost everything is stock . When the weather becomes warmer, I plan to buy R17 or R18 wheels . P.S. I love that old tractor |

| A photo 17/02/07 on a nice Saturday's driving through some local twisties. Not the ideal time of day to take the photo as the sun kept fooling the light meter on my digital camera...nevermind. I'll have some more when I get around to developing the old film camera's photo's. I did a little experimenting on that which hopefully will provide some better/interesting results. |

| Those are nice looking wheels Jaraboski! Can I ask what you did with the originals? Were they the 16' 7 spokes?

| 412driver, Here are the things that I'm aware of that are different on the 2004 Special Edition model compared to the regular SLK320's ( there may be others). I think ther is also an SLK230 SE. 1. the fender badge 2. the grill 3. the chrome roof trim 4. the seats 5. the shift knob (not sure if you can read the "SLK Special Edition" on the top See next post for last two images: 6. Deck lid spoiler (like the AMG) 7. 17" wheels (my favorite part) |

| Here is mine! I bought this car purely by accident. Well, not exactly, but it WAS supposed to be an SUV. I have a Trans Am, and was looking to buy a small SUV so I would have something with a little more room for carrying things around in. I was looking around car dealer websites to find one that had everything I wanted, and ran across an SLK and just fell in love. I can be a little impulsive that way!! So much for more room though, I can carry more in the Trans Am!! ![]() |
