| Back when I had my SLK 320, I considered doing the upgrade. I like the horizontal lines better than the thin, tin looking grill. I think the original looks cheap compared to the rest of the car. |

| Ur ultimate decision. Upgrading would give it a different look for sure. I really can't decide....I like the look of the original but the slats look goo too! ![]() Dang, u you could put window blinds up there and that car would look awesome!!! | The black with chrome tips might work on a copper SLK R170.

| Post #6 , i have the black one on my firemist red slk. It give's it a whole new look, i should have made the change long ago. I also got rid of the amber side marker lights and replaced them with black one's. |

| yup, I was part of that group buy. it took me an hour to fix my grille and to glue the chrome strips in place. the grille still looks great with no problems, glad I got one. |
