Default 1999 Slk 230

Hi Guys, I am new to the SLK world, having traded my 380SE for a '99 SLK 230 last week. I took a drive to Bloemfontein (300 km return) on Sunday jut to get a feel for the car. I was very impressed. Enough power when required! This is my weekender. My regular, more conservative car is a 2007 Nissan Tiida which I also enjoy. Not nearly in the same class however.
A few questions:
  • What does SLK stand for?
  • What sort of fuel consumption can I expect (km/l)?
  • My car has now done 102000 km - is this to be considered "high milage"?
I am sure I will enjoy many happy weekends and the occasional long trip!

Hello and welcome to the forum, 102,000km is not high mileage for a car taht is 9 years old. On average 30,000km is normal for a years of driving.

The SLK stands for Sport, light and compact if memory serves me right, enjoy the car in the best of health.
