|  new member 230SLK Hello, my name is Greg from Maryland U.S.A. I just registered on the forum about 2 weeks ago. I bought a 230SLK manual 1999 Black with gray and black two tone int. Looks almost showroom. It does have 104k on her but I figured it's a Benz don't worry. It shifts and runs just fine. Not yet use to the small power plant, 2.3L supercharged. But that car handles great like a go-cart. Anyway, just looking on some car parts web sites, I'm noticing how high the parts can be, like a clutch assbly, if I ever need one.app $500.00 Hate to see what MB wants!!!!!!! Anyway can anyone help me on two questions? What does AMG stand for?? and when riding the back roads I can feel every bump as if it needs maybe new shocks or struts if they have struts. I mean it's not REAL bad ,but, maybe there are some aftermarket parts that would give me a more comfortable ride. thanks, y'all and happy to be an SLK FORUM member!   pics to follow when I learn how????????? |

| Welcome to the forum Greg, its a mercedes and dont worry these cars are robust and are very reliable. I am a true Mercedes fanatic and I love their cars comfort, simplicity and ease of use. The SLK is a great car and I hope you do enjoy it in the best of health.
